LEADER board game
The aim of the LEADER board game is to highlight, in a playful way, the importance of the key competences needed for entrepreneurship in general and vocational school environments, and to help players practice these competences through gameplay.
The game also provides an excellent opportunity for the teacher to observe which competences each learner excels at and in which areas they may need further encouragement.
LEADER is a cooperative board game, meaning that players do not compete against each other but against TIME, symbolized by the black pawn.

The goal of the game is for players to work together, choose the right strategy, build on one another’s strengths, and collectively create a business.
The business is successful if all 5 colored pawns reach the FINISH before the TIME pawn does.

While moving along the board, players encounter obstacles and two types of “stumbling fields”, Activity Fields and Sustainable Development Question Fields.
A. ACTIVITY Field:
Here players must draw a Activity Card from the deck and complete the task shown.
E.g.

B. Sustainable Development Question Field:

Here players must draw a sustainability question card. The game facilitator reads out the question, and the player who drew the card must answer correctly to move forward.
E.g.

The number of steps and the colour of the pawn that must move are determined by rolling one numbered die and one colour die:

The game can be played on two levels:
Level 1: Recommended from age 10, with any number of players. To avoid long waiting times, we recommend 4–6 players per board. Tasks and questions are simpler on Level 1.
The youngest player starts the game, and play continues clockwise. Each player rolls both the colour die and the numbered die, then moves the pawn indicated by the colour die (If they roll black, TIME moves).
Level 2: Recommended from age 14. The game board is the same as in Level 1. Ideally (and at most) 5 players should form a team, as in this level each player controls their own pawn. (If there are fewer players, one player can control several pawns.)
On Level 2, each pawn colour corresponds to a specific role and competence area:

If a player lands on an Activity Field, the colour of the Level 2 task card drawn indicates which player must contribute to solving the task, as each colour corresponds to a specific role and competence set.
All LEADER game materials are freely downloadable.
You may reuse dice and pawns from other games or make them from paper; templates are provided below.
