DIVINT - DIVersity, INtegration, Training

DIVINT (DIVersity, INtegration, Training) project aims to develop a new European dimension on intercultural education in adults' education processes by addressing the diversity inherent to our multicultural societies, from the human rights and intercultural learning perspectives combined with language learning. Innovative pedagogies, like

- the dialogic learning (learning that takes place through dialogue) and
- the peer learning (which help students and learners to play an active role in the teaching-learning process)

will be adapted and applied to the specific needs of the target groups of users and beneficiaries, in order to build intercultural settings in classrooms and training environments.

The project is targeted to:
users – adult training centers, school and VET teachers, trainers, educators, mentors and counselors;
final beneficiaries - training centers, school and VET students and learners.

The DIVINT partnership aims for
- empowering national language teachers and trainers to cope with diversity and boost intercultural and multicultural education in Europe through language learning;
- providing vulnerable groups (refugees, asylum seekers, migrant, etc.) with access to intercultural language training in order to allow them to master the host countries’ languages and consequently enhance their social, civic and intercultural competences.

The above-mentioned goals will be achieved through the development of the following tools:

- a DIVINT Curriculum – an Open Educational Resource, developed on the basis of the identified needs in the partner countries, aimed at teachers and trainers, in order to help them combining language teaching with inter- and multiculturalism
-a DIVINT Assessment Kit – a methodological guide that will formalize a process of identification of skills carried by the target groups in order to orient them to the relevant training processes.
- a DIVINT Toolbox– a useful set of practical activities based on the DIVINT Curriculum, containing practical tools to support educators in their formal, non-formal and informal teaching processes
- a DIVINT Handbook- a trainer’s guide, developed on the basis of the Curriculum, explaining, how the Toolbox resources can be effectively used to assist in the delivery of a coherent program
- an Online Learning platform (Open Educational Resource) – a digital space, using interactive learning elements like scenarios and gamification, addressed to both educators and learners to raise awareness and develop knowledge on different elements related with language learning and diversity.

The DIVINT partnership comprises 7 European organizations from Sweden, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Portugal, Estonia, and Romania who will work together in the following two years.
