The project aims at developing the competences needed by small farmers and food suppliers in the Upper Ciuc Region
in order to familiariarize with the Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs)
economic model and make agriculture and food provision more environementally, socially and economically sustainable.

SFSCs mainly trade fresh seasonal produce, followed by animal products and beverages. The growth is tied to changing consumer behavior, emphasizing appreciation for local food attributes like origin,
traditional methods.
