Building Bridges

Building Bridges is an inspiring Erasmus+ project focused on helping migrant and marginalised parents and guardians feel welcome, supported, and connected in their new communities across Europe.

We understand that challenges like migration, mental health, and education are all deeply linked — and together, they shape how individuals and families adjust to life in a new country. That’s why Building Bridges is developing practical tools and programmes that ease this transition and support overall wellbeing.

Inspired by ongoing conversations with migrant families and support organisations across Europe, the project aims to provide new, inclusive educational approaches that respect cultural diversity, promote mental wellbeing, and strengthen parenting skills. Our focus is especially on those most at risk of social exclusion.

What We’re Doing

Over the course of the project, Building Bridges will:

  • Develop a Play, Connect and Learn programme that fosters parent–child bonding and learning
  • Create a Toolkit for educators to better support migrant and marginalised families
  • Design a Parenting Course, available online and via WhatsApp, to improve access for all
  • Launch a Storytelling Campaign to share real-life experiences and promote understanding
  • Strengthen partnerships across Europe to improve support systems for families

Who We Support
Our primary focus is on migrant and marginalised parents and guardians — including those facing barriers such as language, lack of access to services, or social isolation. By supporting them, we also help their children and communities grow stronger together.

Our Goals
  • Empower parents and guardians at risk of social exclusion
  • Promote mental health and wellbeing through education and community support
  • Develop inclusive, interculturally sensitive resources for families
  • Build more connected and welcoming societies across Europe

Building Bridges is more than a project — it’s a commitment to inclusion, belonging, and brighter futures for every family.
